![]() ![]() The whole episode felt like that Simpsons episode where the whole thing is a flashback, within a flashback, within a flashback. And what was up with the explosion and no meaty chunks being around everywhere? And of course, another problem with the Gaara flashback this episode was that it was such a sob story it made Naruto flashback to his own flashback where we see him getting the evil eye from the village, much like Gaara for the exact same reasons, instead he didn't go psychotic cause he eventually found a few people to fill his life with happiness. We learn why this episode - the Kazikage told him to and he didn't reject the offer 'cause Gaara's dead mom was his sister - and yet we don't care the flashbacks were seemingly minutes upon minutes of love talk and Gaara crying his eyes out. For the second week in a row, we continue to really get nothing more than one long, continuous stare down between Naruto and Gaara, as Gaara keeps flashing back to when he was a little boy and Yashamaru had tried to kill him. ![]() Much like that major gripe, this episode was nothing more than one long "been there done that" and we want more than just that. ![]()
